No — most residential clients live in the home through the project. We work room-by-room, set daily drop-cloth zones, and aim to leave each space ready for evening use before we leave for the day. Bedrooms and kitchens may need brief access changes during the active hang day. Check out our studio story for more on how we work.
Accent walls and powder rooms typically book one to two weeks out. Whole-home re-papers and historic projects book three to six weeks out. Hospitality and commercial work depends on scope and material lead times. The earlier you can ping us, the better the calendar fit.
Either works. Most clients buy or specify their own paper. We're happy to recommend houses, calculate yardage, and place trade orders if helpful — without marking up paper purchased through us.
A single accent wall is usually a one-day job after a one-day prep. Powder rooms run two to three days. Full-room installs run three to five. Whole-house re-papers run one to three weeks depending on prep complexity. Read more about our installation process and timeline.
Modern non-woven and Type II vinyl papers, hung over a properly primed substrate, routinely last 15 to 25 years. The substrate prep is the deciding factor — and it's why we won't skip it. Learn more about our preparation method and materials.
Yes — with the right material. Type II vinyls and bath-rated coverings handle humidity well. Above stovetops we recommend a tile or back-painted glass alternative; everywhere else in the kitchen, wallpaper is fair game. See our residential wallpaper service for more details on materials.
Yes. We strip cleanly — strip-dry where the paper allows, steam where it doesn't. Painted-over wallpaper is a specialty of our removal hand. We rarely recommend installing over old paper, even if you've seen it advertised; it's a future-proofing problem. Learn more about our wallpaper removal service.
Yes. Pre-war plaster is one of our favorite substrates — when it's in good shape. We probe for separation, repair where needed, lining-paper where the surface needs unification, and hang on top of a sound, paper-ready wall. Check out our historic home wallpaper service for details.
Yes. Type II vinyls, acoustic, digital print, branded murals — for hotels, offices, medical, and hospitality across the metro. After-hours and night installs are routine for occupied venues. Learn more about our commercial wallcoverings service.
We'll tell you in the quote. Common flags: glossy paint that needs deglossing, rough orange-peel texture that needs skimming, painted-over wallpaper that needs removing first, or moisture problems that need solving before any paper goes up.
Yes. Drop into the studio (by appointment) to review sample books from major houses, or send us your top three favourites and we'll order swatches to your home. Sampling is the difference between loving a paper at scale and being surprised.
