Plumb-line first, paste-second, paper-third. We install grasscloth, non-woven, peel-and-stick, traditional pulp, vinyl, and full-wall murals — and we remove what's already there without scoring out your drywall.
Most wallpaper failures we get called to repair aren't paper failures — they're prep failures. Edges curl because the substrate flashed differently. Seams open because the wall absorbed the paste at different rates. Bubbles trap because someone skipped the primer.
So we start with the wall. Moisture probe. Adhesion test. Texture grade. Skim, sand, and the right primer for the substrate and the paper. Then — and only then — do we open the rolls, run the first plumb line, and start hanging. Most rooms get a one-day prep, one-day hang sequence; full re-papers run four to ten days.
It's not glamorous work. It's measured, ruler-on-the-wall work. And it's the reason our installs are still tight 15 years on.

For most accent walls a photo set is enough. Larger projects get an on-site visit so we can probe the substrate and confirm pattern direction before quoting paper.
A real number, a real install date, and any prep flags worth discussing — moisture, paint chemistry, prior wallpaper, plaster condition.
Wallpaper sourced (yours or ours), primer specified, drop-cloth plan agreed. Start date confirmed and crew assigned.
Patch, skim, sand, and prime to match the paper and the substrate. Outlets dropped, drop cloths set, daily clean zone established.
Plumb line first. Then strip by strip — book, hang, smooth, trim, seam-roll. Quiet, clean, fast.
Outlet covers re-fitted, debris cleared, written care notes left on site. We invoice when you're satisfied — not before.

We don't quote by the square foot blindly. Wallpaper labour scales with prep complexity, pattern repeat, and pattern direction more than with raw area. A 90 sq ft accent wall in a perfect substrate can be quicker than a 60 sq ft powder room with three plumbing penetrations.
The three most common causes of wallpaper failure we get called to fix: wrong primer, painted-over wallpaper underneath, and unequal substrate absorption. None of those are paper problems — they're prep problems.
Most of our residential clients stay in their homes through the install. We work room-by-room, set daily clean zones, and aim to leave each space ready for evening use before we leave the site for the day.
If you're worried about removing your existing wallpaper later, ask us about it before it goes up. The choice of primer and paper today is what makes strip-dry removal possible in 2040.
These are unfiltered stories from local clients after we finished their walls, so you can see the experience in their own words.
